Myra Sherrod specializes in creating one-of-a-kind portrait dolls of any subject and for any occasion. The artist prefers to meet her subjects but will work from photographs if necessary (as many as can be provided, with facial close-ups included). Myra painstakingly works to re-create the setting the client requests, right down to the particular fabric on a child's favorite blanket. The result is magic: a portrait doll of your loved one that you'll be proud to display in your home.

"Valerie" (left) is a 24-inch one-of-a-kind portrait doll with head and limbs of Cernit and a fabric body. Her eyes are inset, painted china beads; her custom-made wig is of synthetic fiber; and her boots are sculpted.
